The First 5 Sacramento Advisory Committee is charged with providing
technical and professional expertise and support to the
First 5 Sacramento Commission (which
was formed in response to the passage of Proposition 10).
The role of the Advisory Committee is to advise the Commission on all
major issues impacting children, ages zero to five, in Sacramento County.
Duties include facilitating the review of proposals
submitted in response to the Commission's release of funding, advising
and monitoring the evaluation process, researching best practice models
of programs, and other advisory activities.
The Advisory Committee meets on the second Friday of every month from
2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at

Gateway Oaks Drive, Suite 330. All meetings
are open to
the public.

Members are
recommended by a committee convened by the Chair of the
Human Services
Coordinating Council
and
appointed by the First 5 Sacramento Commission.
Terms of office are for two years. Applications
are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed when vacancies exist.
