ADULT & AGING COMMISSION

COMMITTEES & LIAISONS

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee responds to emerging issues with the need of priority attention, and carries out Commission business between Commission meetings.

Nominating Committee

Endeavors to make consistent, quality nominations of new Commissioners in accordance with the Commission's role in the community and its current and future needs.

Oversight Committee

Oversees the adult protective/supportive services system in Sacramento County.  The Oversight Committee monitors the senior services system, including County and community programs. This Committee suggests alternative methods to deliver sufficient senior services.

Program Review, Outreach, and Development Committee (PROD)

Monitors the kinds, amounts, and quality of services for dependent and older adults in Sacramento County; identifies and prioritizes unmet needs and recommends action to the Commission when appropriate; informs the community about Commission activities and services available to dependent and older adults.

Commission Liaison Activities

Liaisons represent the Commission and facilitate communication between the Commission and these other organizations. The goal of the Liaisons is to participate in and support community activities that contribute to the Adult and Aging Commission’s overall mission.

The Commission has either a Commissioner or community member representing the Adult and Aging Commission with the following groups:
