The Sacramento Regional Emergency Food and Shelter Board (SREFSB) allocates
Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Act funds to emergency food
and shelter providers in the four county region of Sacramento, Yolo,
Placer and El Dorado.

The Information System compiles and provides health and social indicators
and serves as a central clearinghouse for measurable data about the
social and economic conditions of the region. Descriptive and categorized
information on public and non-profit services are also available.

Sacramento
2-1-1 Sacramento is a comprehensive, multi-lingual telephone information
and referral program serving Sacramento County.
Policy and Advocacy
Sacramento
County Adult and Aging Commission
The Adult and Aging Commission serves as an advisory body to the County
Board of Supervisors on issues pertaining to seniors and dependent adults.

County Children's Coalition
The Sacramento County Children's Coalition is an advisory body to the
Sacramento County Board of Supervisors. The Children's Coalition is
an advocate for children's issues and provides policy oversight and
community education about the needs of children and families.

County Commission on Geographic Managed Care
The Sacramento County Commission on Geographic Managed Care (GMC) monitors
and reports to the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors on health
care access and policies related to GMC. GMC is the healthcare system
for more than 150,000 Medi-Cal beneficiaries in Sacramento County.

Hunger Commission
Since its founding in December 1989, the Hunger Commission has focused
on public education, outreach, and advocacy to reduce hunger and
food insecurity in the Sacramento area.
HIV
Health Services Planning Council
The HIV Health Services Planning Council was created by the federal
Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency (CARE) Act. Ratified
by the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors, the body is responsible
for planning, prioritizing and evaluating the delivery of services
for people with HIV and AIDS in the Sacramento region.

Services Coordinating Council
The Human Services Coordinating Council (HSCC) was established in 1994
to add a broad human services perspective to deliberations of the Sacramento
County Board of Supervisors, county departments and Member Advisory
Boards by identifying, prioritizing and responding to the human service
needs of county residents. One HSCC committee is the
Children
& Families Commission Advisory Committee.
The Advisory Committee to the Children & Families Commission is
charged with providing technical and professional expertise and support
to Sacramento County's Children and Families Commission (which was formed
in response to the passage of Proposition 10).

Health Advisory Board
The Public Health Advisory Board serves as an advisory body to the Sacramento
County Board of Supervisors on matters relating to local public health
planning and policy issues.

Programs and Partnerships
California Immunization Registry Regional Coalition
California Immunization Registry is a multi-county collaboration of private and public
healthcare providers, community-based organizations and concerned individuals
working through outreach, policy, advocacy, training and community organizing
to increase the immunization rate among area infants and toddlers. California Immunization Registry KIDS is an immunization registry currently operating in Sutter
County with plans for implementation in six other counties in the Capital
Region.
