Membership on the Coordinating Council is by appointment of the Board of Supervisors.Specific Responsibilities:
- Works cooperatively with related departments and advisory bodies;
- Ensures integrated human services planning (including the Human Services Element of the County General Plan);
- Serves as an advisory body to the Sacramento County Children and Families Commission;
- Reviews and makes recommendations on human services budget and policy issues;
- Services as a forum for raising community concerns;
- Prioritizes community needs and develops appropriate plans for addressing them;
- Serves in an oversight capacity for County provided or funded human service programs
