Planning and Policy Documents
The funding decisions made by the Planning Council are based upon the needs of those affected by HIV/AIDS in the local area. The documents take into account the needs and findings of those served by Ryan White funded services, Ryan White funded service providers and local epidemiology reports. These documents allow the Planning Council to create a plan of action for the Sacramento Eligible Metropolitan Area (EMA) to respond to the changing needs of those living with HIV/AIDS as well as to emerging trends in the local epidemic. Each EMA worked with the California State Office of AIDS to compile a Statewide Coordinated Statement of Need. This document identifies challenges and offers solutions to issues of concern throughout the state HIV/AIDS community.
